SENIORS: INDEPENDENT LIVING

The Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES), Division of Aging and Adult Services provides resources for seniors such as information on independent living. DES provides these services through regional Area Agency on Aging Offices.

Other Helpful Information:

• The US Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration provides information on the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) which encourages and trains seniors to gain independence by joining the workforce. • The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) at 1-866-229-5553 (toll free) provides services to eligible Arizona citizens with disabilities to assist them to live independently in their own homes.
